ACCES.viz

The ACCES Collaborative Visualization Facility (CoViz) has been established to facilitate and promote the use of advanced visualisation for Computational Engineering (CE) applications for research and teaching at EPFL.

The CoViz facility provides infrastructure generally not available in individual ACCES laboratories, including:
 • high-resolution displays (total of over 16 million pixels)
 • dual screen displays (for increased presentation flexibility)
 • large-scale visualization (graphics server with 128 GB RAM)
 • large-scale rendering (render server with 4 Nvidia GeForce Titan cards)
 • stereoscopic visualization (using passive, polarised glasses)
 • specialized visualization software
 • flexible videoconferencing
 • room reconfigurable to specific needs
 • technical support

More specific details regarding this infrastructure (both hardware and software) and how to use it, is provided here.

A User Manual for the CoViz facility is available as a hardcopy in the CoViz room (MXC 320), and as a PDF file.
