in vivo researcher

This page

As an "in vivo" researcher, you need:

  • Accreditation by the Service Vétérinaire Cantonal (SVET) as an experimenter:
      • Provide us with a CV with a special section describing your experience and training in "in vivo" studies.
      • List of references. 
      • A proof that you attended a certified 40 hour lab animal science course.
      • This documentation will be forwarded by CAV to the SVET.

 

  • Accreditation to get access to the CAV
      • Fill in the form for SV members or affiliated
      • Fill in the form for Master students or long temr visitor
      • Fill in the form for one-day visitor
      • Contact either 34395 (Rachel Favre, French speaking visits every Tuesday at 2 pm) or 30953(Raphael Doenlen, English speaking visit every Friday at 2 pm) for the mandatory CAV Security and Biosecurity information visit. 
      • Send signed form to marcel.gyger@epfl.ch or send per internal mail

When these two conditions are fulfilled, you get full access to CAV

 

If you did not have any accreditated training in animal experimentation, you need to attend one of the following courses: 

  •   Lausanne Module 1 training courses FRENCH:
    • Next course March 2010, a 40 hour training course at UNIL Dorigny, the University camous of Lausanne Dorigny close to the EPFL campus, is taking place. Official language is French. It consist of 20 hours of lectures (morning) and 20 hours of practical work (afternoon)
    • To register, you have to go to the follow address : http://www.unil.ch/resal/page61472_en.html
    • If you need only to attend the theoretical course or the legal / ethics day, please fill in the form for theory only and specify clearly that you need only this one half day course.

  •   Geneva Module 1 training courses FRENCH:
    • In September, a second French module 1 course is given in Geneva. To register, use the same link as above but go down the page to get access to Module 1 French.
  • Other English and German speaking courses:
    • Next course in Lausanne and in English, january 2010.
    • The Labortierkunde Institute of Zurich University organise Module 1 course in German or English. See : http://www.ltk.unizh.ch/de/home.html
