Thank you for your understanding

The physical transfer of documents to the Rolex Learning Center will begin 4 January 2010. Professional movers will be handling the job. The libraries’ collections will be moved into the new building one library at a time. The move, involving some 11 km of books, will last until 22 February, the provisional opening date for the new EPFL Library.

The priority for all the libraries is a move carried out under the best conditions for all users. Borrowing and returning will therefore continue to be possible without interruption, work places will be available and the librarians – more than ever – will be there to help meet people’s needs.

The librarians are well aware of the problems that can arise when moving all these books and they are doing everything possible to ensure that this phase of the transition to the new library goes as smoothly as possible. The web site pages linked to the move will be updated regularly and will announce unforeseen changes.

The EPFL Library would like to apologize in advance for any inconveniences caused by the move and to thank all its users for their patience and understanding.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any comments, negative or positive.
