Influence on vulnerability	The more infrastructure - and therefore ski activity- is located in areas at risk of permafrost melting, the more the region is vulnerable because of the high costs of intervention or the abandon of the site (Kneisel, Rothenbuhler et al. 2007; Mühll, Noetzli et al. 2007; Larsen, Goldsmith et al. 2008).

Data source	Data on possible/probable permafrost distribution delivered by the FOEN (2010). Data on infrastructure from VECTOR25 (layer on other traffic - abbreviation "Uvk") (SwissTopo 2007).
Remarks	The layer Uvk of VECTOR25 includes additional line objects which are relevant to traffic (skilifts, ferries, cable ways) but which are not contained in the road and railway network layers.
