National, cantonal or regional subsidies would help tourism stakeholders in taking the investments to adapt to climate change. Concerning ski resorts doomed to closure, subsidies from the region or the destination (the gastronomy and the hotel sector for example) would be a fair way of supporting the ski areas in taking the investment sums and the risks associated with it (Luthe 2009).
