2006 : Discussion de Fred Gobry avec "Acker, Saskia van SABE (ELS-AMS)" < S.Acker@elsevier.com >: What I do know is that some of our Repository Search partners use more than one dc.identifier, but with more than one PDF, that will make things very complicated. Others, such as Caltech and many eprints repositories, use dc.relation to hold the url to the full text. But then, others use dc.relation to indicate that the record is part of a series, with e.g. "isPartof". Again others use dc.format, where they first indicate the format and then the url, thus dc.format:pdfhttp://www.... In theory, we can handle any of these set-ups, but our preference is that you use dc.relation as many others use that too. And indeed, the landing page and the PDF, even in case there is more then one PDF, are related, so one could argue it is not wrong to use the dc.relation for this purpose.

Le 11.07.08 18:05, « Heyden, Michiel van der (ELS-AMS) » < M.Heyden@elsevier.com > a écrit : Dear David, The decision to add the EPFL repository to Scirus is based on the quality of the repository, the size of the repository, how well the institutional repository software matches with Scirus' available pipeline processes and the availability of resources at our side. I checked with the Scirus team and EPFL was one we were very keen to include at the time, so we would think it should be a priority in terms of the content. At this point it's difficult to determine timelines as we're at the start of a software migration process. I'll ask Saskia van Acker (Scirus Content Manager) to get in contact with you as soon as she return from her holidays end of July and get things started. Kind regards, Michiel van der Heyden.

I would indeed love to index EPFL's repository now, but there is a complication. When we first contacted you, I think the first contacts where with Sharon Mombru and at that time we had the option to do customised indexing of repositories. Unfortunately, we found out that we did not have the capacity to handle all the requests that came in and we had to switch to a more standard approach. This means that until now, we have only standard procedures for repositories that run on Dspace or Eprints platforms. As I believe your repository is running on CDSWare, or CDS Invenio as it is called now, we cannot index your repository with one of the current standard routes. We have plans to expand these standard routes to include CDS Invenio as well, but we will need to do some more development for this. Currently, this new development is planned for next summer, thus it will be a long time before the repository is indexed then. I am currently looking at alternatives that will make the wait a little shorter, but I have nothing definite yet. I am really sorry that I do not have more positive news. As soon as I have an indication that we are ready to index your repository sooner, I will off course let you know asap. With kind regards, Saskia
