As part of the first semester, lapa conducts each year a two day Presentation Technology Seminar.
The PTS is a forum to emphasize the importance of information and data within the everyday practice of architecture. The goal of the session is to improve the working methodology and communication, and to introduce or reinforce proper presentation techniques for architectural practice using contemporary digital technologies.
The PTS introduces lapa studio participants to the content, methodology, and technologies that will be used in the lapa semester. The focus of the PTS is introducing the methodology of lapa and the tools that will be required over the course of the studio.

The PTS is devided into three half day sessions:
Thursday Sept 20, 14:00 - AAC 120 Content
Focussing on different forms of information and data types that influence design decisions at the urban scale.
Friday Sept 21, 10:15 - AAC 120 Communication
An Introduction to and discussion about the use of digital communications and media in architectural practice.
Friday Sept 21, 14:00 - AAC 120 Presentation
A workshop to develop presentation skills, with an emphasis on presentations using digital technologies.
