Hardware
This is a simple guide to use Lightsolve. We tried to make Lightsolve as easy and immediate as possible, but it still needs improvements and a lot of testing. This guide is meant as a starting point: try to follow the steps and see if it works, if there's any problem call the IT Proximity Support .
- Make sure you have the required hardware:
- an High-End Nvidia GTX** 500 or 600, or a Mid/High-End NVidia GTX 700 or 900 with
- minimum 1GB Video RAM, at least 2 GB highly recommended
- a good CPU (i5 or i7)
- 8 GB or RAM, 16 GB recommended
- a 64 bit version of Windows (it's the case for all our PCs and Macs)
- 1 GB free space on your HD, an SSD drive is recommended
- several GB of temporary free space on an HD to run the simulations
- Read or print this: http://lightsolve.epfl.ch/downloads/QuickStartGuide.pdf

- it will take some seconds as Lightsolve prepares the environment at its first run
