Illuminance

When you are ready with the sensors, you can click on the Start Simulation button in the top menu. This will start simulating (i.e. tracing 224 images if we take back the example in the previous page). It takes time, it is inevitable.

Accurate Simulation

If you need accurate results, make sure you have chosen to run simulations with Radiance in the application settings. It is also suggested that you spend more time reviewing your materials. Radiance is an extemely refined tool, but its results are often limited by the input model and materials details.

Fast Simulation

If you want to do a demo or for academic purpose, the "quick" raytracing engine made at LIPID can be used to considerably speed up the simulation. The results won't be as accurate in terms of Lux, but magnitude orders are correct and the same thing can be said about performances. The results are likely and can be discussed as if they were correct.
