Milestones

Duration of the project: 9 weeks (without Easter break)

10.03 - 23.03 (Week 2 to 4)
By the end of the first phase of the project we will have parsed the XML files and computed the temporal word profiles (this task shouldn't be too hard). We will implement a first simple solution for computing distances between two temporal profiles. We will also define technical details for the User Interface.
31.03 - 04.05 (Week 4 to 10) (with sub-milestones to be defined)
At this stage we will have defined more techniques to compare the curves. We will also evaluate them for performance and quality.
We will define metrics to look for interesting trends in the data. (See Tasks)
By the end of this milestone we will have a User Interface that will allow the user to query the data.
04.05 - 12.05 (Week 11) We will polish the user interface (web front-end and back-end) and write the final report.
