ACM International Collegiate Programming Do you like solving challenging CS problems and programming? Do you like competing in an international contest organized by prestigious organizations? Then you should consider the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest, sponsored by IBM! The ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ACM ICPC) is the most prominent international programming competition for university students. Competitors compete in teams of three students, using one computer. They must answer as many algorithmic problems as possible within a five hour period. The contest is divided into two levels: a regional contest (SWERC, the semi-final, in Lisbon, Portugal), followed by a world contest (final). The best teams in the regional contests advance to the world contest. EPFL can send two teams of three students to the regional contest. To register for the EPFL contest please send an email to alex dot susu at epfl. The final selection is open to both the participants of the preselection and other individuals and teams. However, the real ACM competitions are based on teams of maximum 3 people. If you register as an individual, we can try to form a team, but there is no guarantee that we have the right number of people to do that. The best way to participate is that you find 2 other teammates and register all the 3 of you with the same team name. Important future events:
