ABOUT IEEE

IEEE is the world's largest professional association advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.  It publishes technical journals, sponsor conferences, develop technology standards, and support the professional interests of more than 300,000 members. IEEE creates an environment where members collaborate on world-changing technologies - from computing and sustainable energy systems, to aerospace, communications, robotics and healthcare - to engineer a better tomorrow.

We envision that apart from serving as a platform for students to meet and learn from each other, faculty members and professionals, the IEEE Student Branch (IEEE SB) would offer numerous educational, technical, and professional advantages through various technical and non-technical activities:

• development of leadership, interpersonal and team-building skills (IEEE Volunteering)
• opportunity to participate in design competitions and student paper contests, win IEEE awards and scholarships (IEEE Student Awards, Scholarships and Competitions)
• contribution to social and humanitarian causes (IEEE Foundation)
• opportunity to meet and collaborate with students, researchers and professors from other universities at various events (Conferences and Events)
