Usual problems
Make sure that your version of ProEngineer (2001, Wildfire 1,2 or 3) is installed in the RIGHT directory. Which should be:
For Proe2001: C:\Program Files\proe2001
For Wildfire1: C:\Program Files\proeWildfire
For Wildfire2: C:\Program Files\proeWildfire 2.0
For Wildfire3: C:\Program Files\proeWildfire 3.0
If your program is not installed it THESE folders, then the configuration bat won't work proprely. Former versions of ProE which are installed in C:\program are to be reinstalled.

Make sure that you are connected to the new P: remote drive. If you are not sure, reinstall the P: drive as described in the installation procedure.

All kinds of problems
Refer to the ProE blog at EPFL.

Installation Problems

If the installation fails to launch you have probably forgotten to map a network drive to the installation CD's.

In the end of 2003, PTC have detected a bug in the installation procedure causing it to hang under certain circumstances. Details are available from the PTC Internet page. However, installations at EPFL are unlikely to be affected, except if you attempt to reconfigure your pre-installed software using PTC/Setup. In this case the application may hang.
A reconfiguration would therefore be a good reason to obtain the latest distribution from the server.

Changement of the Installation Folder
If you intend to move your installation to a different folder (i.e. in order to add MECHANICA) it is sufficient to move the whole installation and to re-launch ptcsetup. This will update only the startup scripts and save considerable time.
Server Problems

If Pro/ENGINEER setup fails to find licenses on dmtsunc try to use dmtsunc.epfl.ch instead. An alternative is to verify and update your network settings ( configure your local connection).
