Cours hors plan MSc
The study plan and regulation of Mathematics allows for some flexibilities in your choice of courses.

MSc Math pour l'enseignement : Cours à options
The group "Cours à options" includes 44 credits. At least 30 have to be taken within this group. the remaining can be chosen within the BSc optional courses (list 1), although you can not take one which you already passed or which you failed twice during your BSc.To register on isa, pleas select 'Cours hors plan", choose the course. In case of problems, please go to SAC. The third week of the semester send an email to sma@epfl.ch and the SMA will move it in the right group.
Autumn : Courses will be moved at the end of October, if in November you still notice errors, please let us know.
Spring : Courses will be moved at the end of March, if in April you still notice errors, please let us know

MSc Ing Math (Applied Math, 120 ECTS): Cours à options
The group "Cours à options" includes 44 credits. At least 30 have to be taken within this group. the remaining can be chosen within the BSc optional courses (list 1), although you can not take one which you already passed or which you failed twice during your BSc. You also have to take at least 30 ECTS in the list A (applied math), cf https://wiki.epfl.ch/sma/msc.
To register on isa, please select 'Cours BA/MA" (on the top, at "other courses"), choose the course. In case of problems, please go to SAC. The third week of the semester send an email to sma@epfl.ch and the SMA will will move it in the right group.

If you do not take a minor, you also have to take 4 credits for courses in engineering outside mathematics, please see below under "Engineering courses : already validated list". (This rule is new since Sept 2017, if you started your MSc program earlier, it does not apply).
