Cours hors plan MSc
The study plan and regulation of Mathematics allows for some flexibilities in your choice of courses.
See also cours hors plan au niveau BSc.
MSc Math pour l'enseignement : Cours à options
The group "Cours à options" includes 44 credits. At least 30 have to be taken within this group. The remaining ones can be chosen within the BSc optional courses (list 1), although you cannot take one which you already passed or which you failed twice during your BSc. It's also not possible to move to your master any surplus of credits obtained during the Bachelor. To register on isa, please select 'Cours hors plan" and choose the course. In case of problems, please go to SAC. The third week of the semester send an email to valerie.kormann@epfl.ch and the SMA will move it into the right group.
Autumn : Courses will be moved at the end of October, if in November you still notice errors, please let us know.
Spring : Courses will be moved at the end of March, if in April you still notice errors, please let us know

For the remaining credits, up to 10 ECTS can be chosen within the math BSc optional courses (list 1), although you can not take one which you already passed or which you failed twice during your BSc. It is also not possible to move to your master any surplus of credits obtained during the Bachelor. You also have to take at least 30 ECTS in the list A (applied math), cf https://wiki.epfl.ch/sma/msc. To register on isa, please select 'Cours BA/MA" (on the top, at "other courses"), choose the course. In case of problems, please go to SAC. The third week of the semester send an email to martina.keddouh@epfl.ch and the SMA will move the course(s) into the right group.
If you do not take a minor, you also have to take 4 credits for courses in engineering outside mathematics, please see below under "Engineering courses: already validated list". Please note that you must write to martina.keddouh@epfl.ch to inform us that you take an engineering course, so that the SMA can check whether it is acceptable and then move it into the appropriate group.
