History

In September 2010, Dr. Wladek Grabinski and Anurag Mangla decided to initiate the formation of a student branch of the IEEE at EPFL. The formation of the IEEE Student Branch has been welcomed and endorsed by several Professors and faculty members at EPFL as well as by the Executive Committee of the Switzerland Section of the IEEE. In the first week on November 2010, we dispatched an endorsed petition for branch formation to the IEEE. In Januray 2011, the IEEE granted our petition and has certified the formation of the EPFL IEEE Student Branch.
