16.15-18.00, room INM 200, Prof. Etienne Sicard will give a lecture entitled "3D-Integrated Circuits: A Focus on Signal Integrity and Electromagnetic Compatibility".

This event is a joined initiative of the EPFL IEEE Student Branch, Swiss IEEE Electron Device Society and Swiss IEEE Solid State Circuits Society.

28 March 2012:

EPFL student wins  IEEE R8 Student Paper Contest (SPC)

Our student branch member Mike Rinderknecht has won the first prize at IEEE R8 Student Paper Contest at IEEE MELECON, Tunisia. Mike was selected as one of the five finalists (out of total 30 submissions) to present his paper at MELECON. His trip to Tunisia was fully sponsored by IEEE. 

 

23 January 2012:

EPFL submission selected for IEEE R8 Student Paper Contest (SPC)

The paper submitted  by our student branch member Mike Rinderknecht has been selected as one of the five finalists at IEEE R8 Student Paper Contest. Mike will be presenting this paper at the finals in March at IEEE MELECON, Tunisia. 

 

8 December 2011:

Talk on Ethical Questions

On Dec. 8 2011 16:15 at EPFL, INM 202, Dr. Peter Kunzmann will give a talk about Ethical Questions for Engineers. 

The talk will be followed by a discussion round and an apero. Expected end around 18:00.

Dr. Kunzmann is with the Ethics Center at the University of Jena, Germany. 
He has a Doctor in Philosophy from the University of Wuerzburg.
He currently manages the new group on Dignity in Genetic Technologies.


The event is a joint Event of the Switzerland Section and the Chapter SIT (Social Implications of Technology) and the IEEE Student Branch at EPFL.
